And I Will
It's impossible to
change my past.
If I could I
would correct mistakes.
In more ways
than I can name.
These thoughts
torment my brain.
"If'"
is only a
two lettered word
That keeps popping
into my mind.
Before thoughts what
could have been
Thoughts now
vanished in the wind.
Changing my past
I cannot possibly do.
Or reach up and
touch a cloudy sky.
But I can strive
to improve myself
From today until
the day I die.
Daily the sun sets
in a western sky.
Taking with it another
day from our lives.
Each morning sunrise
gives us a new day
To correct mistakes
we made yesterday .
And I will.
